Key Issues

capital improvements

I look forward to reviewing the Capital Improvement Plan. I’m pleased the project was awarded to Halff.

Many of us came to HHP for the same reasons, the lush landscape, the vast amenities and low POA fees. We now face an era of improvement. We have major projects to consider such as the Plantation House, the Security Gates, our leisure paths, tennis and pickleball courts and a dog park.

I support making improvements that enhance our lifestyle while working within the finance options available to us. Navigating through our capital improvements requires purpose-driven, mindful decision making, done in plain sight. If elected, I promise your voices will be heard and our process will be clear.

Ask a question

gate houses

The average home value in HHP in 2025 was $875,588. We live in a highly regarded community. Our gate houses no longer meet our needs, either functionally or aesthetically. They are the first thing we see when entering the community. That goes for home buyers, realtors, visitors and service providers as well. Our entrance should rival or exceed that of any community on the island.

Ask a question

leisure paths

Our leisure paths are the most valued amenity we have. They need clearing, widening, repaving and better signage. I appreciate the 25% increase budget this year, but it’s not enough to effectively modernize our leisure paths.

Ask a question

pickleball

Inside our gates we have amazing options to play golf and tennis, we have three large and versatile recreation centers that can handle everything from card games to weddings; however, we fall short of meeting the needs of our 500 Pickleball players. I applaud the effort to add courts to Dolphin Head but it’s not enough for our community. I know there are challenges with building pickleball courts, so I propose we work together to either get it done or exhaust all reasonable possibilities trying.

E-Bikes

Keeping our walkers, cyclists, children and pets safe requires rules for e-bike usage. I support adding designated bike lanes on major roads for high-speed cyclists including e-bikes, road cyclists and fast leisure riders, making the leisure paths safer for walkers, runners and casual cyclists. I also support appropriate age requirements and encourage training for e-bike operators and high-speed cyclists.

Ask a question

Decision making

Decision should be made together with the residents. Our only job is to represent you. This requires open communications, clear and effective surveying and lots of discussion.
